Goodbye August, goodbye summer

We had a full month to wrap up the summer! We did some backyard camping, celebrated a few friends birthdays, took many trips to the park and the beach, visited the zoo (for the first time this summer!), and wrapped up the summer gymnastics session.

Emily is looking forward to starting the new school year. In fact, she is anxiously awaiting the start. Needless to say, she is the only one around here. Aubrey and I are pushing back with everything we've got. Unfortunately, time will move us into the new school year and once it begins it will be all good. It's just the starting that has us feel reminiscent for the days of June.

State Fair

Another year at the fair is in the books! We enjoyed lots of good food, people watching, and rides. The weather was great...not too hot and our feet are sore. All signs of a successful trip!

Nashville

Nashville did not disappoint. We spent four days with friends Stefanie and Josh eating great food, drinking tasty drinks, and enjoying plenty of live music. The weather was nice and warm and we had a fabulous vrbo condo with a lovely pool to cool off in. Now if Sun Country had only delivered our checked bag for the trip, things would have been perfect. Even with a lost bag (for the entire trip!) we had a great time and I learned that I could function on very little :)
