It's the simple things

I can't say that spring is here since there's still chances of snow in the forecast but there's been some relatively nice days and we've been taking advantage.  Since we had so much snow this winter, we also have a lot of spring puddles.  We bought Emily a pair of rain boots and we're using them to have a little fun outside!

It was a little windy out!

We're enjoying this warm up and the chance to get outside.  Hope you are too!

Friends!

Emily has made some really great friendships at daycare. Here she is with a few of her girlfriends...

Now if only she would look at the camera and smile like the rest of them :)

My love

I love this little girl more than anything...

DIY done right!

I haven't ever really thought much of the shower head in my shower, it got the job done.

However, I used the shower in out basement this week and realized I have been missing out! The shower head is one we bought when we lived in our apartment - it's a rain shower style and it's great! So off we went to Home Depot to buy a shower head. They both have the same number of GPM but the new shower is so much better!!

My advice: if you've been thinking about it, do it! It's inexpensive, super easy and so worth it!

Happy Sunday!!

Bedtime reading

It has happened before but this was the first time I was able to get my camera and capture it. Emily has an LED light (that shuts off automatically after 20 mins!) that she likes to use at bedtime to read. Here she is in her bed reading away before she nods off for the night.

Good night everyone!!

Happy Valentines Day!

This year we celebrated with a special parent treat at daycare, a play date with daycare friends, a delicious dinner and wonderful dessert!! I am definitely feeling the love and am so happy that I was able to spend this day with the family I love :)

Smile!

I'm working on saying "smile" to Emily instead of "cheese".  Whenever she says cheese for pictures, she literally says cheese and doesn't smile so she always just looks like she's saying "cheese" in pictures.  Which she was.  We're home today because Emily has strep throat and when she's properly medicated on Tylenol is in a good mood.  So we've been going about our normal activities and practicing smiling for pictures.  We have now encountered what I call the "pirate eye" when she pose-smiles.  We have more work to do...
