We have some traditions leading up to the big day that we all look forward to: Decorating the tree and the house
Visting Santa
and Decorating cookies
This year we added a visit to our local community center for an arts day which included graham cracker house making and a trip to Bentleyville in Duluth to take in the lights.
We also have a pretty great display in Bloomington that sets their lights to Christmas music!
We are fully in the Christmas spirit after all of this :)
This is it. This is the last year we will have a preschool Christmas program. Every "last" this year will bring all the emotions. As Aubrey gets closer to kindergarten, so does our time at Appleseed Montessori. We will spend a total of 8 and a half years entrusting the care and education of our kiddos to the lovely staff there. However sad that is, we know that we made a good choice for our family and the girls with Appleseed. They have had great early friendships, learned a lot, and received care from teachers who are invested in their success.
Aubrey's last program was wonderful. She did wonderfully in her special role in the Feliz Navidad song and did great in the others as well.
Emily turned 8 this year. She is closer to 10 years old than 5 years old and that brings all the feels.I am amazed at who she is a person; she is funny, adventurous, intelligent, curious, friendly, loyal, social, and beautiful.
Emily loves being with friends, dance, and karate. Karate was new this fall and she has advanced two belt levels. When it comes to her interests, her desire and drive amaze me!
