Fun winter break activities

During one of our days on break we spent the day at a new place called Playseum. It was a cute place with many different role playing areas for kids, an art center, a bring station, and 2 science bars. The girls had a great time playing different roles and participating in activities at the different stations. Good thing Grandma Val came with because at lunch she surprised us with the Mile High ice cream cake! It was pretty amazing, too bad we couldn't finish it. We also won one round of trivia under the team name Ice Cream is Life. Check out the picture and you'll see where the team name came from :)

We also spent a day swimming and staying warm at GGs place. It was baby Nora's first swim and she seemed to enjoy it as well.

New Decade, New Experiences

January 1, 2020...a day that we will remember. Emily and I were interested in learning to snowboard and Como Park had a class deal so we signed up and off we went. I guess it went as I should have expected it to go. We both feel plenty but continued to get up and continue trying. It was fun to have a chance to begin learning a new skill with Emily, but I think I'll stick to skiing :)

Goodbye 2019

December wrapped up and we're looking forward to a new decade. It's almost unbelievable that's it's 2020, but here we are. The 2010s were good to us and who knows what the 20s will hold. All I know is this will be the decade of the teenage driver in our house and that alone makes me a little nervous. However, I am equally excited for what this next decade will bring.

New Decade!

Happy New Year, new decade! We rang in the new year at Jeremy's house with the girls who both made it to midnight! To bring in the new decade, Emily and I tried a new experience in snowboarding on the first. It was a lot of fun to be learners together but I think I will stick to skiing :)

Christmas time!

Our Christmas celebrations were the same this year as they are every year. We spend Christmas Eve at the Harrisons with gift exchanges, a delicious lasagna dinner, and a game of "bingo".

On Christmas morning we find out what Santa brought us at home and in our stockings as well as exchange gifts with each other. After that, we head to the Mulforts for more gift exchanges and brunch.

As always, we had a great time at all of the events and are a little bummed to see the holiday pass so quickly.
