Ice castles!

Emily and I visited the ice castles in Eden Prairie and they were pretty cool and as a bonus,Frozen characters were there too!

Emily and I enjoyed President's Day off together playing superhero and ballerina, having indoor picnics, reading in toy piles and spinning impromptu dance parties in the living room. All in all a great day!

Our little writer

Emily has been writing single letters for a while now but she's starting to be able to put them together into words.  Some she knows (like her name) and the rest we tell her the letters to write and off she goes!  Here's a sample of her handy work:

Winterfest

Minneapolis parks hosts free family evenings at parks around the city so we decided to attend winterfest at Linden Hills park.  We didn't know what to expect, especially since we haven't seen too much snow this winter, but it was a blast!  We met up with a few of Emily's preschool friends, their families and

We roasted marshmallows

Went ice skating for the first time

Got our faces painted

Went on a horse drawn carriage ride

And enjoyed our share of popcorn, cider and hot chocolate

Overall, a very fun evening that we'll plan on attending again next year!
