This weekend I made three new dessert recipes and would recommend them all! The first was a no-bake
cookie dough bar. It is delicious! The only thing I would change is to use half of the bag of chocolate chips for the topping instead of the full bag (the full bag makes a fairly thick top layer that can be a bit hard to bite through). My advice: cut small pieces, they're rich!
The second was a blueberry-rhubarb crumble. We found a rhubarb plant growing in our new yard, pulled it out, cut it up, washed it and froze it. This is the first recipe we've used it in and it is one I will definitely save and make again!
Last, I tried a
cupcake recipe. I read about it on Huffington Post and looked it up on a few other sites as well, even
Betty Crocker thinks this is a good one!. You take a box cake mix, mix a can of soda (your choice!) with it and bake as directed. That's it. It's supposed to be super moist. Myself, Patrick and my brother Pat all agreed they tasted like regular cupcakes, just extra moist. Maybe even a little more dense. I will p
robably try this one again with different cake/soda combinations!
