The next day we went to Macy's 8th floor display of Santaland. It was the last year for this tradition because Macy's is closing it's downtown location. The kids had fun and we had fun watching the wonderment in the kid's eyes. We went home and opened gifts from each other since Christmas Eve night and Christmas day are so busy. It was a fun time and us and the girls were happy with our gifts. Christmas Eve at the Harrisons was lovely, as usual. We enjoyed a delicious lasagna dinner and opened gifts from one another. We wrapped up the evening with casual conversation enjoying each other's company.
Christmas morning arrived and the Santa visited our house overnight. The girls received the things they asked Santa for: an "art kit" in the form of a tie dye set and "Elmo toys" for Aubrey. We then spent the rest of Christmas Day at my parent's house opening gifts, eating way to much and lounging while the kids played.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night |
It was the perfect holiday. We are truly, very blessed.
