Laying low

We've been laying pretty low so far this August. That doesn't mean we're not staying busy though. We're enjoying our last days of summer break together with family time, trips to the zoo, the park, Nik universe and soaking up as much sun as we can handle! I can't believe I'm down to less than 2 weeks before returning to work, but we're making the most of the time I have left!

Gymnastics is done for now. Dance class, here we come!

One week of summer break left and Patrick's even going to take off a day to spend with us! I know Aubrey will do great at daycare and we already know the caregivers but it doesn't make thinking about this time in my life coming to an end any easier. I was apprehensive about the summer with both girls but it has turned out to be a time that I will cherish forever.

Izatys v. 2015

We had another great family vacation at Izatys, this year with two new vacationers: Aubrey and Benjamin! We spent our time swimming, fishing and playing.

We're so glad that we get to spend this time with the whole family every year and we're already looking forward to next year. Only 51 weeks to go!

The bond

Emily and Aubrey have an incredibly strong bond already, just four months in. I see it every day in the way that they light up when they see one another. I saw it in another way today.

On this dreary day, with the rain beating on the car and the rhythmic sound of the windshield wipers, they were both tired out after a fun filled day riding rides at MOA with auntie Laura. We arrived home and what I saw made my heart swell as my eyes filled with tears of happiness, love, joy and complete bliss. There they were, holding hands while sleeping. I could hardly bare the thought of breaking their grip with one another so I let them be, while I watched on, just a little bit longer as I soaked up their sweetness. My loves, my life.

It's the simple things

It's been such a great summer so far! Some of my happiest times are just being at home with the girls and Patrick. Below are some every day pictures with my most favorite people

July was a great month, here's hoping August moves slowly so that I can soak up as much time with my girlies as possible!

Four months

Aubrey is four months old! She loves cuddling, smiling, laughing, eating, sleeping, chewing on and grabbing any/everything within her little reach and now...ROLLING!!
