We rented a cabin near Brainerd in the town of Nisswa with Patrick's family over our last summer weekend. We had a great time swimming, fishing, shopping, playing games and just hanging out spending quality time with the family. We also finally made a trip to Paul Bunyan land with the kids. It was a fun weekend and hope we can do it again with the Harrisons!
Over Labor Day weekend we visited the state fair. We had amazing weather, it was cool, partly cloudy and there was always a little breeze. For those of you familiar with the great Minnesota get together you know how hot it can get there. We spent a record eight hours at the fair with the girls eating, going on rides, checking out some animals and doing kiddie crafts and activities.
We are continuing to enjoy the nice weather by playing outside and going for walks and bike rides. Patrick and Emily also had their first camp out in the yard this weekend. After the tent is set up we roasted some marshmallows and Patrick and Emily were in for the night. She was excited to camp and made it the whole night out there!
