Happy Halloween!

This year there were plenty of Halloween events for our little peacock and duck to participate in. We did some trick or treating at Wisconsin Dells, Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, Emily's dance class, preschool/toddler parties and in the neighborhood. Good thing, too because that peacock costume was homemade :)

Fall time in Chicago

Over MEA weekend we made a trip to the southside of Chicago to visit my sister and her family. On the way, we spent one night at the Dells. We spent time swimming and enjoyed the Halloween festivities they had for the kids!

While in Chicago we spent time hanging out at Karen's house. We also checked out the Boo in the Zoo at the Brookfield Zoo and celebrated the birthdays of William and Marcus. It was a fun weekend catching up and we can't wait to see them at Christmas!

School Pictures

We received the girl's school photos and they are as expected. Emily is happily posing and Aubrey is goofy. These are the last preschool photos for Emily as she'll be in kindergarten next year!

Haircut

Aubrey is getting to be a big girl and one more milestone in that our baby reached this month was getting her hair cut. Even though Aubrey looks less like a baby and more like a little girl, we love her new do!

A whole lot of nothing

This entry contains pictures from our daily activities. Nothing special, but they are times that I have enjoyed with my family. I hope you enjoy them, too :)

We made the tail for Emily's peacock costume!

Congrats runners!

The Twin Cities marathon, 10 mile and a number of shorter runs took place last weekend. It was, again, a family affair with Patrick running the 10 mile, Emily running the half mile and Aubrey participating in her first run ever with the toddler trot. Patrick and Emily did great and seemed to have a great time as well. Aubrey, on the other hand, seemed less than impressed with the toddler trot. She was happy to be there and soak in the activity, but was not at all happy about me putting her down to run the 50 yard course. We'll try again next year with her but she may just have inherited my gene (or lack thereof) for running ;)

I'm so proud of the runners that I know. The energy at the marathon is contagious and spectating has become one of my favorite fall events. Unfortunately, this year Aubrey became sick in the car on the way to cheer on Patrick so we missed our chance to see him in action this year but there's always next year!
