Izatys - 2016

We ventured to the south shore of Lake Mille Lacs again this year to enjoy some family time at Izaty's Resort. This year we rented a lakeside townhome with my sister and her family directly across from my parent's timeshare townhome. We had picture perfect sunsets all week and the rental came with a golf cart for us to use - crucial for keeping kids entertained before dinner or during the baby's nap time!

We had fun at the beach, the pool, the yard, golfing and at the resort's main building with some fun games and arts/crafts. Can't wait to do it all again next year!

We tried :)

Happenings

We have had a lot going on lately! I will try to recap this month's events as of yet. We still have our week long vacation at Izaty's resort at Lake Mille Lacs next week!

Happening #1: Bike Riding
The girls both seem to like riding their bikes a lot. We have been spending time this month biking around the cul-de-sacs in our neighborhood. Emily is getting good at biking and Aubrey is not-so-patiently wanting to bike on her own.

Happening #2: Celebrations
This month Patrick's sisters celebrated their 28th birthday. We celebrated with a family birthday party and ice cream cake! We wish them each their best year yet! We also ventured up to Maple Grove for their Maple Grove days parade. Patrick's dad Bruce and his wife Michelle live on the parade route so we were able to be there for a BBQ dinner before the festivities.

Happening #3: Family outings
The four of us had a great morning at Lumberjack Days in Stillwater last week. We enjoyed lots of kiddie activities and followed it up with a trip to the Teddy Bear Park. The next day we took a trip to the Como Zoo with friends. We still can't believe that Emily's friend, Abby, is five and heading off to kindergarten in just over a month. Time flies!

Happening #4: Beach time!
The girls and I have been beating the heat with beach trips. It's the hottest week of the summer so far with temperatures in the 90s and heat indexes in the 100s. Yikes! The beach by our house, Bush Lake Beach, is great! It's big, has clear water and lots to do. The highlights were fish hunting (there were TONS of sunfish), dock jumping and sandcastle building.

Lastly, I would like to wrap up the post with a few of my favorite pictures from the month. Like I said above, we have our yearly trip to Izaty's Resort on Lake Mille Lacs next week and that means that Karen and her family are coming here on Saturday! We are very much looking forward to seeing them and the trip with the rest of the Mulforts!
