It's SO hot!!

With temperatures reaching 100 and a heat index of who knows, it was time to head to the beach! I love these lazy days and hoping these memories will help carry me through what's sure to be a long winter. They always are :(

Chi town in the summer!

This year we planned a trip to Chicago on the weekend of my sister's birthday. We usually only go in the spring and fall so this was a fun addition to the routine. It was a surprise to my sister, her husband did a great job keeping our visit a secret and helping us make plans. We had a lot of fun just hanging out and we also checked out some dragon boat races while in town. We're looking forward to seeing them again at the end of July!

Summertime fun

We have been beating the heat in the water and continuing to ride our bikes. Emily's last challenge was to learn how to get going on her bike. Today, we seemed to have gotten that down. We're excited to start biking around!!

Happy Father's Day

to all of the dad's out there who give their all to their families. I am lucky enough to have Patrick to help raise my children with. He is always available for our girls and willing to go on any adventure that they or I dream up. Thank you for everything, Patrick. We are the lucky ones!

First day of summer vacation

The girls and I enjoyed our first full summer day together today. We spent some time crafting, running through the sprinkler and adventured to the Sculpture Garden as well as the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Bring on the summer of adventure!

Dance: year three

Emily has wrapped up year three of dance. Emily enjoys dancing and being part of a group, she is learning so much in terms of technique and having tons of fun doing it! We are very happy with Ms. Amy and Victoria Dance and look forward to next year if Emily chooses to continue.

Kindergarten: A thing of the past

Emily is now a kindergarten graduate! She rocked her first school year and is excited to become a "grader". We are so proud of Emily and how hard she works at learning new things. Congratulations baby, we love you!
