Christmas

Christmas 2018. It was a good one. We were able to relax and enjoy Christmas with both sides of the family as well as have the Mulfort/Stephens family stay with us and have quality nephew/cousin time.

We are expecting a new niece or nephew!
We're so excited and happy for Johnnie and Kim!!

Holiday outings

Every year we see a movie on 12/23 to kick off our Christmas holiday. This year a new version of The Grinch was out and it was a no brainer since the kids like the original so much. It was a cute movie and so fun having the girls with us for this part of our celebration!

We all went to the Arboretum in Chanhassen to check out their holiday lights display also. The weather was mild and the lights were pretty. It was a successful trip; bonus that Laura and Steve were able to come with us!

We also checked out the holidazzle and had a lovely birthday celebration for Patrick at Martina (we highly recommend!)

Cookies!!!!

We enjoyed another year of cookie decorating. Katie and Laura were (again) the best cookie decorators but I would say we came out with a pretty good looking batch. Love this tradition, thanks for hosting Val!

Aubrey's program

Each year our preschool hosts a holiday program. Emily has always liked it but Aubrey is another story. Her first year she just stood there, year two was a complete sob fest on stage but year three, she was in it to win it! She knew her songs, dances and seemed confident and happy to be on stage. Next year will be our last program and I'm already sad about it 😢

This Is 7

Emily is now seven. Seven, people! I say it every year but I really cannot believe it. She is reading fluently, loves learning and creating, and spending time with family and friends. She is a great kid and we're lucky to have her in our lives.

We celebrated with family, went to dinner at American Girl bistro, and snow tubing with friends. It was a great celebration and we're looking forward to the year to come!
