Harrison Girls in Action

Both Emily and Aubrey have been doing a lot more this month! Emily is getting really great at swimming and Aubrey is building her vocabulary. Take a peek!

Emily was caught in the act of singing about how much she loves her sister <3. I will keep this to show her in about 10 years when she wants some space from Aubs :)

Just in case you thought things are always perfect (yeah, right!), here is a clip of Aubrey messing around with Emily's toy while she is playing with it.

My baby finally learned my name, she is so sweet!

Last, Aubrey had a good time dancing to music cards while we shopped at Target :)

Hiking: Minneapolis Style

On a perfect summer day, Emily and I decided to go hiking at Minnehaha Falls. We had a great hike and cooled off in the creek and at the pool. I will definitely miss these days when I'm back at work!

August: A blur in time

This month has been crazy. We have been so busy and I'm down to the last week of summer break. These 11 weeks have flown by and they have been the best summer weeks that I have ever had. The girls are such fun to take out and about! This month we've spent more time playing in the water as well as enjoying what the Twin Cities has to offer.

Happy Birthday Mom and Pat!

Later this week we'll go to the Brainerd area for one last summer trip with Patrick's family and then it's back to work for me. All good things must come to an end and I look forward to my next extended vacation with my girls!

Chatterbox

Aubrey is experimenting with more and more sounds. She is also babbling a lot and has some words: "dada" (for her pacifier, not Patrick), "mama", "dog" and she knows the sounds that monkeys and ducks make. Although her monkey sound is very similar to her dog sound :)

Below is a sampling of our lunchtime conversation today. Also included is Aubrey showing off her duck noise!
