We're also enjoying playing in the water, swimming lessons again and doing lots of reading lately!

Father's Day

Patrick is a great dad and husband, we love him more and more as time goes by and we're so lucky to have him in our lives.  Patrick and Emily love hanging out together as you can see below.

Weekend Adventures

This weekend was so relaxing, just what we needed!  Saturday was a rainy day so we laid low and did some cleaning, playing and reading at home all morning.  After Emily's nap we went to a graduation party for Andy, Katie's boyfriend.  The party was fun and we're so happy for Andy!

Today the weather did a 180 and it was sunny and in the mid 70s.  It was gorgeous!  We chose to take a bike ride to Lake Harriet to play at their awesome playground, have a picnic lunch and enjoy an ice cream cone from Bread and Pickle.  We had planned on letting Emily walk in the lake water a little but it was getting late so we thought we should head home because we had grass to cut.  We had a little time at home to go ant hunting (one of Emily's newest favorite activities) and to build some epic block towers!!

With summer break starting tomorrow at 2:00, I am looking forward to a lot more outdoor adventures!!

Our big girl!

Today Emily is exactly 2 1/2 years old. She is growing like a weed at 38 inches - almost double her birth length of 20 inches - and loves running, jumping, coloring, painting, bubbles, being in charge, playing with friends, seeing her family, chocolate pudding, screeching, Disney's Frozen and Bubble Guppies (still!).

We had a visit this morning from "the blondes" and Tracey and GG decided to read some books to Emily. Nice book choice GG ;)

Memorial weekend and other fun adventures!

This year Memorial Day weekend was packed full of BBQs and picnics. We had a great time at my aunt and uncle's house on Saturday. Emily had fun playing basketball and picnicking with her cousin Max!

On Sunday we had out friends over for ribs. We met my parents for breakfast on Monday since it was my dad's birthday and followed that up with a BBQ at the Harrison's.

We've also had fun shopping for and planting new flowers, hanging out at Minnehaha Falls, babysitting one of Emily's friends and taking our first bike ride to the frozen yogurt place!

We had a great weekend and now I'm in the final countdown for this school year!

Fun filled weekend!

We packed this weekend full of low key fun! Emily got to hang out with Aunt Tracey and GG on Saturday while we went bed shopping for the little lady. We didn't find anything but Emily had fun at her "play date"! They took a walk to the nearby pond and saw some turtles, played Candyland and did some coloring - what a fun morning!

After her nap, Emily and I went on a bike ride to the park. She watched a little baseball and played at the playground. She can spend so much time at the park!

Today Emily, Patrick and I went on a bike ride to the park where we spent some more time flying our kite as well as playing. Since it went right in to lunch time we decided to go to a local bar for lunch. We soaked up the rays and warm weather while enjoying lunch on their patio. It was a fun weekend full of bike rides and playgrounds! Let summer begin!!
