March: recapped

March came and went pretty quickly. We celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary, Steve and Val's birthdays, and the emergence of spring!

Strange weather

March can bring some strange weather. It's usually the month that we get our first peak at spring that we've all been longing for but can still give us a good dose of winter, and this March was no different.

Here's hoping for the emergence of full fledged spring weather!

February Happenings

Life's been busy. I haven't been keeping up with the blog, so here goes. Here's February in a nutshell:

We celebrated my birthday

Celebrated Valentine's Day with the family and with a fun Galentine's evening with my sister in laws

Had fun doing gymnastics and at Emily's school carnival

And spent a lot of time sledding!

And some of my favorite every day moments

Polar vortex 2019!!

The girls and I were able to enjoy a little extra time together this winter as the polar vortex brought us a bunch of snow followed by 3 days of -50 degree windchills. That meant four days for us together at home.

We spent a lot of time crafting, painting, playing games, watching movies, baking and cleaning. By the fourth day, windchills were only around -15 degrees so we did venture out to the Crayola Experience since we we only had to run to the car and then into the mall and we all needed a change of scenery!

We're all glad the vortex passed and we're hoping it doesn't visit us again anytime soon. I think Maggie was sick of us and looking forward to getting back to her lounging routine as well :)

Skating

Emily's school had a fundraising night at a roller rink so we went to have a little fun and Emily rocked the roller blades! Emily had a ton of fun, we may have to keep the roller rink in mind on rainy/cold/snowy days.
