Wedding weekend continues

Karen's family was staying with us for the wedding weekend which was super great because then the kiddos get more hang out time and we get more time with the grown ups too! After the wedding on Friday we got home and just let the kids run wild in the back yard while we tried to relax. We had a few drinks and feasted on pizza delivery.

On Saturday we went to a new orchard followed by a BBQ at Greg's house. Luce Line orchard was small but nice. The kids had a good time playing around and taking a nature hike. Unfortunately, there were no apples to pick but we have more orchard plans. More on that later. Greg hosted a nice BBQ at his house where the kiddos continued to run wild around his very large yard. It was a great wedding weekend filled with lots of family time!

Congrats to the new Mulforts!

My baby brother Patrick married his lovely bride Siera today!! They had a beautiful wedding (which Patrick officiated) at the Como Park Lilly Pond. The weather was looking kind of sketchy all week leading up to their Friday mid-day wedding but it all worked out. There was no rain and all went as planned. It was a wonderful day and I'm happy to have another sister! Welcome to the family, Siera and congratulations to you both. May your future together as husband and wife be exactly as you picture it :)

Ren Fest

We did it. We went to the Renaissance Festival this year. The girls and I have never been and it has been over 30 years since Patrick has been there. So, we decided to check it out. We were all a little taken aback at the immersive experience and the "characters" that walk around interacting with you as you meander through the town-like event.

We enjoyed all that the Festival had to offer from food to experiences and shopping. I honestly can't say that I will plan on going back, but it was fun to check out. Oh, and it was right by Minnesota's Largest Candy Store, so duh...had to get a few goodies there before heading home :)

School Time Again

This is Aubrey's last year at Appleseed Montessori 😢 When we leave next summer, we will have been there for 8.5 years!

Emily started a new school the year. Emily is no longer at Olson Elementary, she is now at Ridgeview Elementary School for their accelerated program. We are excited and nervous for the change but are optimistic for the potential that this has for Emily!
